Large Beaded Shield

This handmade wooden beaded Shield with cowrie shells was made by the Maasai community, in Kenya. 
Maasai shields represent one of the many genres of African artifacts with both utilitarian craft and fine art characteristics. 

Hung on a wall or displayed on stand, they are a unique decorative feature in any home.

This shield comes with a removable stand and has a hanging string.
