Besta is part of the Tengenenge Sculpture Community, based within The Great Dyke range of hills in the north-eastern part of Zimbabwe and is home to the start of the Zimbabwe stone sculpture movement. Besta's work reflects the simple, but very powerful forms handed down by previous generations of sculptors. The Young Chief is a very powerful piece and one needs to touch and feel it to understand this fully.
