The batik process is said to have been introduced to Zimbabwe by missionaries as an income generating craft and Shona people have made huge success of the venture.

The patterns are created using corn meal, locally known as Sadza.

In the process of creation, designs are painted on the cloth using Sadza meal or sometimes a flour paste and allow to dry. The cloth is then painted by hand before undergoing the curing process.

Each beautiful pieces is artfully handcrafted.

Cushions are 100% cotton and inners 100% feathers
