Vintage Afghan Pendant

This attractive pendant is from Afghanistan made from Afghan silver and detailed with little vintage stone beads.   We are not sure what it represents but looking at it one could consider that it was a shield to ward off bad spirits - we will ask our Afghan trader next time he comes.  It was suggested a nipple cover, but that is not appropriate.

Dimensions: 4.8cm round, 1.8cm deep 
There is a 4mm loop threaded with a 60cm rubber cord.
